Monaco has secured their second win of the season after beating Montpellier 2-1 at Stade Louis-II on Saturday. The victory was a major boost for Monaco's title hopes and leaves them just two points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
The match saw both sides battle it out for control as they looked to secure all three points. However, Monaco were able to break the deadlock in the 64th minute when a corner from Benjamin Mendy found its way into the net. This gave Monaco a 1-0 lead going into half-time.
Montpellier came back strongly in the second half and were able to level the scoreline through a goal from Maxime Lopez in the 78th minute. However, Monaco were able to hold on and secure their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Montpellier.
Disasi also secured a key away point for his side by beating Rennes 2-1 at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Sunday. The result means that Disasi's side remain in third place in the table, four points off the top spot.
The match saw Disasi's side dominate the game and create numerous chances throughout the match. They were ultimately able to take advantage of one of those opportunities in the 55th minute when a header from Adama Traoré put Disasi's side ahead.
Rennes fought back though and were able to equalise through a goal from Anthony Faouzi in the 89th minute. However, Disasi's side held on for a vital away win and remain in the race for the top spots.
